SSC Monthly Meetup: Mind Blowing Conversation On The River

 To RSVP, please make a payment via PayPal by August 14th to secure your spot (or via cash at the July meeting).

 

 Cost: $25 (includes raft, paddle, and life jacket rental as well as return shuttle)

 Parking: $5 per vehicle (carpool suggested)

 This is a low key water activity. It is NOT white water rafting. You DO NOT have to know how to swim to come. If you are on the fence because of lack of aquatic skill, please know that you'll be traveling with a former life guard, the water is quite shallow in many places and there are several "non-swimming, I-hate-water" sisters who have come and loved it.

 

 Food: 

 1) For yourself: Bring a sandwich, frozen water bottle, and an empty bottle (for shared drinks)

 2) To share: Bring either wine/sparkling cider or a finger food snack like fruit, veggies, crackers, chips or Red Vines. hint hint!

 

 Wear:

 Swim suit or water clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, water shoes

 

 Consider bringing:

 A water gun. Sometimes it goes down on the river and it is nice to be armed.

 

 Leave in the Car:

 ID, wallet, phone (unless it is waterproof), towel, bathing suit cover up-- basically anything that you don't want to get wet

 

 Note: we will have a safe place to store essentials like car keys for drivers. We'll also have PFDs.
