SACRAMENTO SISTER CIRCLE
The Sister Circle, an Our Rightful Place, program, is a network for Black Women in the Greater Sacramento Area. We engage in positive dialogue, share our rich stories, build strong relationships, and create an open and safe space for us to become fulfilled leaders, mothers, allies, friends, and women.

Founding
In 1999, Christi Ketchum founded the Sister Circle along with several of her friends, after reading an article in Essence Magazine, the May 1999 edition. For many of them, this Circle was a fun opportunity to get together, talk, make new friends, and enjoy the company of women who lust for life.
In 2011, the Sacramento Sister Circle was re-launched and has been incredibly impactful and meaningful for Christi and others involved. Sister Circles often provide a supportive and empowering space for women to connect, share experiences, and uplift each other. The impact has been wonderful , to see the positive transformation, influence, power and strength that has come from this network.
